5000 Metre Final Odds

5000 Metres Betting

The Men's 5,000m final takes place at the World Athletics Championships on Saturday evening and we've got the odds here:

Saturday 12th August 2017, 8.20pm - Men's 5,000m Odds

At The World Athletics competition in 1995 and the Olympic Games in1996 the 3000 metres was replaced by the 5000 metres for both men and women. A distance race that takes place on the athletics track it still requires both aerobic and sprinting ability and winners often result from tactical logistics as much as physical ability. The Ethiopian Kenenisa Bekele is the current World Record holder with a time of 12.37.35 whilst fellow Ethiopian Tirunesh Dibaba holds the women's world record of 14.11.15.
